The garden keeps on growing! We’ve had a special delivery of 9m3 of organic material for the garden and today we’re going to start putting it to use. The plan is to make a couple of extra no-dig beds, add some new edging and some new paths which should make the garden much neater, tidier and more accessible.
With new beds made and old beds topped up we should have plenty of space to plant the rest of our summer crops: loads of tomatoes, peppers, aubergine, butternut squash and a few flowers to add a splash of colour.
Throughout we’ll explain the process we take to make the beds, the different layers and why we use them. We’ll also share some of our experience and tips on using this no-dig method of gardening over the last five years.
This order of bulk compost and bark was delivered by ACH based in Figueiró dos Vinhos, Portugal.
We’ve previously bought the micro bark and compost from EuroVegetal also based in FdV
