We laid a limecrete floor in one third of our ground floor as part of our renovation and restoration of our Portuguese farmhouse. We didn’t plan to show the process again in other rooms but the people have spoken: here we lay another limecrete floor, for your viewing pleasure.
This is the first two of three layers that make up a well draining, insulated sub floor in preparation for installing our underfloor heating. In this video we address some of the questions and comments from our previous attempt to help clear up some confusion and provide additional info to anyone else who might want to lay a lime slab floor in a stone building.
Whilst this is not our first time doing this, not everything goes to plan. You’ll definitely want to stick around to the end for an interesting mistake!
